Communicating Bathroom System

Communicating bathroom systems ensure accessibility and privacy for a common bathroom shared by two patient rooms or dormitory rooms.

Communicating Bathroom System with Magnetic Locks
1. Depressing a single switch located inside the bathroom locks both doors.
2. Depressing the switch again unlocks both doors.
3. A switch located outside the bathroom, above or adjacent to each door provides emergency access.
4. Connected to the fire life safety command center, both door unlock automatically in an emergency.

Components
CB401A - Located inside the bathroom. Depressing the button locks both doors for privacy. Pressing the button again unlocks both doors ensuring both doors are unlocked when unoccupied.

CB401B - The emergency door release (2 required) is located outside the bathroom above or adjacent to the door. The illuminated push switch lens indicates the doors are locked. Depressing the push switch unlocks both doors.

631RF x UR-1 - Access control power supply with control logic and fire alarm release input.

Additional System Requirements: Two EMLocks equipped with door status sensors are required. Specify 1581VD with 650 lbs holding force or 1571VD with 1200 lbs holding force.

Communicating Bathroom System with SDC Electrified Locksets
1. Depressing a single switch located inside the bathroom locks both doors on the outside only. The inside lever is always operational for uninhibited egress.
2. Exiting either door automatically unlocks both doors.
3. A switch located outside the bathroom, above or adjacent to the door provides emergency access.
4. Connected to the fire life safety command center, both door unlock automatically in an emergency.

CB402A - Located inside the bathroom. Depressing the push switch locks both doors on the outside only. Doors are always unlocked on the inside for uninhibited egress. Exiting either door causes both doors to unlock.

CB402B - The emergency door release (2 required) is located outside the bathroom above or adjacent to the door. The illuminated push switch lens indicates the doors are locked. Depressing the push switch unlocks both doors.

Additional System Requirements: Two HiTower electrified locksets equipped with door status sensors are required. Specify: Z7250 electrified cylindrical lock and MC4 magnetic contact; or Z7550-L actuator controlled mortise lockset with door status; or Z7850-RD electrified mortise lockset with REX and door status.
